About Road Home Rescue

A dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue, saving lives for over 20 years.

We save dogs from kill shelters in the Southern portion of the United States — dogs that have been rescued from euthanasia, gas chambers, and heartsick situations.

Every dog is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and heartworm tested before being adopted by their fur-ever family. Dogs are also temperament tested to help fit the right family with the right dog.

We want each of them to experience love, security, bowls of food, and a soft bed — all the things missing from their previous lives. In the 20+ years we've been rescuing, we've helped over 2,000 dogs and other animals find loving homes.

We're selective on purpose. Rescuing a dog from our organization is not for everyone — we match carefully so every adoption sticks. Interested in a dog?Start with the application and we'll find the right fit together.
